Submit a Gold Open Access Journal Transfer Proposal

IGI Global Scientific Publishing's Acquisitions team will use the following information to conduct the initial assessment of the gold open access journal that you wish to transfer to IGI Global Scientific Publishing. Filling out each section thoughtfully and thoroughly will help expedite the review process of your proposal.

Open Access Policy

This proposal is for a gold open access journal which means that all the content contained within the journal will be freely available without charge to the user or his/her institution. Users are allowed to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of the articles, or use them for any other lawful purpose, without asking prior permission from the publisher or the author. This is in accordance with the BOAI definition of open access.

Open Access Fees

Publishing a gold open access journal with IGI Global Scientific Publishing requires the existence of a funding body to support with the cost needed to maintain publishing services for the journal.

Funding provided for the journal will be used to offset the cost of the Article Processing Charge (APC). In the traditional subscription-based model, the cost to the publisher to produce each article is covered by the revenue generated by journal subscriptions. Under OA, all the articles are published under a Creative Commons (CC BY) license; therefore, the authors or funding body will pay a one-time APC to offset the costs of all the activities associated with the publication of the article manuscript.

Licensing Statement

IGI Global Scientific Publishing open access journal publishing offers authors the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) licensing arrangement. The copyright for the work remains solely with the author(s) of the manuscript.

Others may distribute, remix, tweak, and build upon the work, even commercially, so long as they credit the author for the original creation.

All authors are required to sign an author's warranty stating that the materials are original and unpublished elsewhere. IGI Global Scientific Publishing will not publish any material that has been previously published elsewhere.
