Abstract

This research aims to identify the factors influencing Green IT adoption by SMEs in Indonesia to promote sustainability. A quantitative, cross-sectional survey design was employed, targeting SMEs using IT in their operations through purposive sampling. Data analysis included descriptive statistics, validity and reliability tests, and SEM-PLS for structural model analysis. Findings reveal that Green IT adoption is driven by technological, organizational, environmental, and resource-based factors. Integrating the TOE Framework with Resource-Based Theory offers insights into these interactions. Key challenges for SMEs include low awareness of Green IT benefits, poor infrastructure support, and insufficient government regulations. This study develops a theoretical framework for understanding Green IT adoption in Indonesian SMEs. The TOE and RBT integration enhances comprehension of technology adoption in dynamic business environments. Practically, this study aids SMEs in improving efficiency and reducing environmental impact through Green IT adoption.
