Abstract

Sustainable supply chain management (SSCM) is becoming increasingly prominent across various industries. However, the existing standards for SSCM assessment exhibit significant variation. While sustainability initiatives often prioritise either cost minimisation or environmental stewardship, few studies comprehensively address all three dimensions of sustainability—environmental, economic, and social—simultaneously. This research aims to develop a framework encompassing these three essential dimensions for practical sustainability assessment. Utilising the Delphi technique, this study engaged seven experts from academia and industry with expertise in sustainability and SCM. The study identified six indicators and nineteen sub-indicators through rigorous analysis crucial for evaluating sustainability across strategic, tactical, and operational decision-making stages. This research identifies key sustainability indicators and presents a holistic framework, providing organisations with a comprehensive guideline for integrating sustainable practices within their supply chain operations.
