Sustainable Development, Green Manufacturing, and Green Logistics

Abstract

Sustainable development in business is becoming a very important agenda especially in manufacturing. It can serve to reduce the environmental impact of various operations. Green manufacturing practices emphasize processes that can minimize waste, energy consumption, and emissions throughout the production cycle. Pursuing sustainability in business operations is a critical challenge to survive in a competitive environment. This study conceptually offers insight of how green manufacturing and green logistics can lead to sustainable development as it become factors in driving competitive advantage. The application of green manufacturing and green logistics in companies focuses on the implementation of environmentally friendly practices in supply chain management to reduce the negative impacts caused.
